Marquise Bezel Ring
A marquise amethyst held in a close bezel — no prongs, no shoulder detail, nothing between the stone and the finger but a rim of metal. The pointed ends of the cut do the work a larger stone would otherwise need to do.
The most wearable piece in the drop, and the least expensive. Bezel setting also makes it the most robust: there is nothing to catch on a sleeve, which matters for a stone at 7 on the Mohs scale.

Take it off before washing your hands, swimming, or sleeping — water and friction dull a setting faster than wear does.
Keep perfume, hairspray and cleaning products away from the stone; scent settles into the mount and clouds it.
Wipe with a dry, soft cloth after wearing.
Store it in the blush box it arrived in, away from other pieces — harder stones scratch softer ones.
