Open-Band Ring
A band that stops rather than closes. The two ends pass the finger and lift, and a single hessonite garnet sits where they part — so the stone reads as the reason for the gap, not an ornament added to it.
Hessonite is the honey-coloured garnet: warmer and more transparent than the deep red most people picture. Ours are cut in Sri Lanka and South India and set open-backed, so light comes through the stone rather than bouncing off a closed mount.

Take it off before washing your hands, swimming, or sleeping — water and friction dull a setting faster than wear does.
Keep perfume, hairspray and cleaning products away from the stone; scent settles into the mount and clouds it.
Wipe with a dry, soft cloth after wearing.
Store it in the blush box it arrived in, away from other pieces — harder stones scratch softer ones.
